Doxie (1993 - 1996?)

(As remembered by Jeff, someone please send a real one to cool @ leons temple . com (remove spaces))

Geoff Halsey started Doxie after disbanding mainstays FAQ/Interstate Brickface. Recruiting his sister, Sarah, and her friend, Molly, from high school to play drums, the band wrote and recorded a gentler, melodic, (arguably unapologetic, given the times) college rock. Given the attention Kalamazoo and Kevin Oberline were getting, Doxie was quickly signed to G r a s s records where they recorded their debut (with the bombpop on the cover) and added Colin Bradford as second guitar. They later recorded a second album before eventually breaking it up prior to its release. Geoff and Molly would eventually get married, move to the West Coast, and even have a baby.

  • Geoff Halsey, Vocals and guitar
  • Sarah Halsey, Bass
  • Molly Halsey, Drums
  • Colin Bradford, Guitar (first album)

  • Geoff played with FAQ/Interstate Brickface prior, and played with Feedbag.
