I saw mike playing classical acoustic at a steak house in kzoo last fall. he was pretty amazing. He was playing through a pedal and looped the rhythm parts so he could layer the lead part over it. He was wearing some big ass high tops. Scott and Tim were there.
I also saw Dave Grant there that night. he wasn't playing. He was wearing an Interpol shirt.

Formed in Kalamazoo, MI, in 1995, the electric rock trio Lo-Fi Scorpio has earned comparisons to such renowned outfits as Nine Inch Nails, VAST, and Smashing Pumpkins. Lo-Fi Scorpio built a substantial local following, as well as in the nearby Chicago and Detroit areas (headlining their own shows and opening for the likes of VAST, Frontline Assembly, and Hate Dept, among others).
Personal note from Joby
Lo-Fi remains to this day one of my favorite bands, the great music, kick ass stage show, and personalities of this band made them a true jem! I also think that Noir is one of Mike Roche's Finest Recordings. There are other tracks floating around (probably in mike's basement) like a cover of Smashing Pumpkins "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" that I never got to hear but I'd love to see turn up on this site as well (hint, hint Yaeger).

Does anyone have the two songs that were on the Invisible compilations? I used to have them, but must have lost them in a move. Also, were there any recordings of the songs they were playing right after Noir was released but were ditched (unfortunately) before the Mission Creep tunes came around? I was pretty bummed when they stopped playing them.
