So amazing to have seen Bryers walking down the street in Hollywood one day...Got to see them play at the Whiskey. Had no idea they were even out there. I just happen to decide to go see a gallery showing of photos taken by Dennis Hopper and saw Chris walking down the street. He said Hey, we have a gig at the Whiskey. Gwen Stefani and Gavin were both there and stood right behind us of course they were there to see some other band they played with but I think she liked 'em. Funny, that reminds me of a twitch gig at the Club Soda where D'Arcy came up and asked me "Which one is Chris Bryers?" I told her, the one with the sweet voice of course! Ok I think I really said, "that one" and pointed at him but you get my point.

Sleet

Bio pulled from the Artist Direct website

After playing to packed out, crowd surfing, sing along crowds in Kalamazoo MI the members of Sleet decided to relocate to the entertainment Mecca of sunny Los Angeles. Sleet combines layers of dynamic guitar hooks and melodies over an action packed rhythm section to create a superb suspension of sound. The melodic, and subtle harmonies of the vocals invite the listener inspiring melancholy memories. The music of Sleet embodies the cold solemn winters of Kalamazoo mixed with the warm busy nights of Los Angeles. Sleet.s first CD available in stores now was recorded in Kalamazoo by Mike Roche at Broadside studios and then was mastered in Los Angeles by John Golden. The CD is a six song EP demonstrating a wide variety of pop alternative rock songs. Sleet's influences range anywhere from Peter Gabriel, to Catherine Wheel, Sunny Day Real Estate, to Shudder to think, Fugazi, Heatmiser, to jazz and punk. The members of Sleet have been influenced by many different musical genres to create this unique and inviting sound.
